This is where you get to be a true adventurer. You get to discover the hidden gems of this island.
You can catch a glimpse of a fantastic panorama of cliffs, where time stops, and see the legendary dragon’s tail. It is sitting amid ravines and facing the Atlantic Ocean. It is formed by a succession of vertical walls reminiscent of a petrified dragon.
Discover the remnants of a verdant splendor that this island once enjoyed.
The island’s natural wealth embodies numerous contrasts. The green blanket that is Tamadaba , with its expanses of Canary pine trees, and forays along the numerous hiking trails the island offers, each with its own special personality, awaken the feeling that you are crossing a continent in miniature: waterfalls, dense landscapes and adventure.
If you dare, you can even meet the perfect guardian who will be your guide on a silent and majestic adventure. After climbing the precipitous cliffs, a magical landscape unfolds before you. Enormous rocks crown the mountain and majestically reign over the landscape. It´s a magical place where with your feet on the ground you feel as though you are touching the sky with your fingertips, a place where you feel like the king of the world.
The emblematic Roque Nublo is a natural monument that juts out above the inland peaks of Gran Canaria . Standing more than 1,800 m above sea level, its symbolic presence is what has made it the island’s guardian and protector. Standing at its base, besides being able to touch the 80 m or so of imposing rock that comprise El Roque, you can enjoy the precipitous, volcanic landscape beyond, formed by numerous valleys and with the sea as its backdrop.
You will also discover how dreams inhabit an enormous desert that stretches down to the sea. After getting among the myriad mountains of sand, you finally reach the shore. You lie on the sand and give yourself up to the murmur of the waves and whisper of the wind as you enjoy the final moments of your journey. Dunas de Maspalomas is the best imaginable finale. Sinuous mountains of sand, where you can lose yourself in a fairy tale setting surrounded by infinite beaches, where the landscape is pure contrast.
